In 2018, Dogs Helping Heroes went through changes and we now have 5 different committees to help serve the hero teams and the organization, as well as new board members.
The new committees are intended to streamline the organization and allow more people to get involved.
The 5 committees are:
The Hero Recruitment Committee will help to create awareness of Dogs Helping Heroes mission to military, first responder, and Gold Star communities.
The Hero Application Committee will work with veterans through the application and interview process until the dog and hero are matched.
The Fundraising Committee will generate revenue through events, donors, contributions, grants, etc.
The Community Relations Committee will be focused on engagement with the community.
The Hero Engagement Committee will support the hero team once they are matched through training, graduation, and beyond.
