New Hero Teams and Save the Date

We have 2 new Hero Teams in the making. Be looking for updates in the Meet our Team Section as we post their bio and pictures. The 2 new teams are Gloria & Lizzie and Mark & Ginger. They are on their way to being fully certified teams. Both have been working hard in obtaining their certifications. Look for them at some of our upcoming events. Shoe Drive to Benefit Dogs Helping Heroes

TIme for some Spring cleaning!! Dogs Helping Heroes is participating in a shoe drive fundraiser. By collecting gently used or new shoes, we can raise money to help more dogs and heroes. This is a great way to raise money without asking for monetary donations. Simply clean our closets and ask friends/relatives for the shoes they no longer wear. The shoes need to be wearable without holes. Our initial goal is to collect 2,500 pairs of shoes. For this we will receive $1000.00. We think that we can surpass this goal and raise more [...]

Julie & Wyatt

Wyatt and Julie had a great lesson! Wyatt, sporting one of our supporters new patch. Many Thanks to Sav-A-Step for assisting us in rescuing dogs and helping heroes! Wyatt and Julie were practicing There and Support commands! There is used to direct a service dog to lie down and stay wherever the hero needs. Support is a multifaceted command that assist in creating a tangible barrier between our hero Julie and any person that is getting to close.
